This policy describes how Chicago IL Basement Waterproofing (chicagoilbasementwaterproofing.com), a free referral service for homeowners in Chicago, IL and nearby Cook County communities, gathers and uses personal information. It does no waterproofing work of any kind. This version took effect on October 10, 2026.
When you send a form, the site may collect your name, email address, a contact number, your street or neighborhood and whatever you tell us about your basement. That information is used to pass your request to one independent local contractor so that business can reach you, and to answer messages you send us.
Only that one contractor receives your request. Businesses that host the site or deliver form messages may handle the data solely to run those services. We never sell personal information or rent out contact lists. Information may be disclosed when a law or a court order requires it.
A request sent through the form is stored with the site's hosting provider so it can be passed to one contractor, and it is deleted after 90 days.
The site may log basic technical details, such as browser type, the pages visited and the referring address. You can turn cookies off in your browser and the pages will still work.
After the contractor has your request, its own privacy practices govern anything you share with that business. The site is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information. If you want to see the details we keep about you, or want them fixed or erased, send a note through the contact form. Any change to this policy will be posted here with a new effective date. Illinois law governs this policy.
